About the General Body

The General Body serves as the foundational pillar of PSA, representing a diverse group of visionary leaders, experienced public servants, healthcare professionals, and development specialists. Convening as the primary governing assembly, the General Body provides high-level guidance, ensures democratic decision-making, and safeguards the core mission and values of the organization. From among its members, the Board of Directors and key executive officers are elected to manage strategic governance and operational execution. Through their collective expertise across education, public health, financial management, and humanitarian action, the General Body members drive PSA’s commitment to institutional excellence and community empowerment.

  Prof. Faiz Muhammad Sodho (Rtd.)

  Chairman, Board of Directors & Acting CEO | General Body Member

  Prof. Faiz Muhammad Sodho (Rtd.) serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Acting Chief Executive Officer of PSA. A distinguished leader in public service, he brings over two decades of dedicated experience from the Government of Sindh’s Education and Literacy Department. Throughout his eminent career, he has held key leadership positions including Executive District Officer (Education), District Education Officer, College Principal, Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Section Officer / Private Secretary. He holds an M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Sindh and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology. With deep expertise in institutional governance, academic administration, strategic planning, and quality assurance, Prof. Sodho provides visionary leadership to strengthen governance, advance educational standards, and drive community development.

  Vice Chairperson | General Body Member

  Mrs. Himayat serves as the Vice Chairperson of PSA. A retired public servant and landowner, she brings extensive experience in grassroots community engagement and social welfare initiatives. Her contributions focus on strengthening organizational leadership, fostering active community participation, and providing guidance to ensure the successful achievement of PSA’s strategic objectives.

  Mr. Arshad Ahmed

  General Secretary | General Body Member

  Mr. Arshad Ahmed serves as the General Secretary of PSA. A prominent business professional in the petroleum sector, he possesses strong corporate management, administrative, and organizational capabilities. In his role, Mr. Ahmed oversees organizational coordination, strengthens key stakeholder relationships, and ensures the efficient administrative execution of PSA’s projects and programs.

  Finance Secretary | General Body Member

  Mr. Zakar Ahmed serves as the Finance Secretary of PSA. Coming from a strong background in the development sector, he brings specialized experience in financial management, budgeting, and organizational administration. His contributions are key to maintaining strict financial accountability, ensuring institutional transparency, and managing fiscal strategies that support the sustainable growth of the organization.

  Mr. Waqar Ahmed serves as a Member of the Board of Directors. Actively engaged in the social development sector, he brings a strong dedication to community welfare and grassroots mobilization. His efforts support program development, community outreach initiatives, and the alignment of PSA’s mission with the direct needs of local populations.

  Mr. Ghulam Nabi

  Board Member | General Body Member

  Mr. Ghulam Nabi serves as a Member of the Board of Directors. He is an MBA-qualified Humanitarian Lead with over 15 years of high-impact experience in project management, multi-donor supply chains, capacity building, and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) across national and international organizations. Specializing in Third-Party Verifications (TPV) and digital monitoring systems, Mr. Nabi has directed multi-sectoral interventions in Disaster Risk Management, Food Security, Cash-Based Interventions, and Education in complex environments.

  Mr. Naveed Ahmed Sangrasi

  Board Member | General Body Member

  Mr. Naveed Ahmed Sangrasi serves as a Member of the Board of Directors. An education specialist, he holds a B.Sc., B.Ed., and M.Ed. from the University of Sindh and currently serves as a Regional Monitoring Officer in the Directorate of Inspection & Registration of Private Educational Institutions, Government of Sindh. With prior experience as a Vice Principal, Assistant Managing Director, and Lecturer, Mr. Sangrasi contributes directly to quality assurance, strategic monitoring, and organizational capacity building.

  Ms. Zarka is a Health Graduate with a strong dedication to public health advocacy and community well-being. As a General Body Member, she actively contributes to PSA’s health-related interventions, assisting in community wellness campaigns, public awareness drives, and social welfare programs tailored to vulnerable populations.

  Dr. Rida is a qualified Physiologist bringing specialized knowledge in healthcare and human physiology. Serving as a General Body Member, she provides valuable technical guidance on health-focused initiatives, assists in designing preventive healthcare interventions, and promotes wellness and health education within target communities.
